CHSS is initiating a multi-institutional investigation focusing on Anomalous Aortic Origin of a Coronary Artery (AAOCA). The goal of the first phase of the CHSS multi-institutional study is to characterize current practices and attitudes concerning the diagnosis and management of this group of anomalies. We will use these responses as preliminary data for a grant submission to study these patients prospectively and longitudinally. A very straightforward survey instrument has been created by Dr. Julie Davis and her colleagues at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in collaboration with the CHSS Research Committee and AAOCA Working Group. Please open the link below, which is an 18 question survey about AAOCA. Print a sufficient number of copies of the survey instrument so that, in addition to completing the questionnaire yourself, you can distribute print copies to all of the cardiologists and nurse practitioners at your center who manage patients with congenital heart disease. Please urge all of your colleagues to participate. It will only take a few minutes to answer the questions, and the power of the data will be proportional to the number of respondents.
