The Congenital Heart Surgeons Society has experienced considerable growth and progress over the past decade. One of the Society's most important activities has been the conduct of multi-institutional research projects designed to further the understanding and improve the management of specific congenital heart malformations and surgical procedures. The climate and environment in which outcomes research is undertaken has also changed considerably over the past decade, particularly with respect to issues of privacy and confidentiality, and with respect to the sources and types of resources available to support research endeavors.
To remain at the cutting edge, the CHSS must constantly evaluate and periodically embrace new and different ways of approaching the challenges of investigation. The Society is undertaking a review and evaluation of its research program. Your input, as an active member, is extremely important. Please read the RFP document below, which includes a brief description of the history of CHSS research and the Data Center, and a call for proposals from members. Also, please follow the link below to the MEMBER SURVEY, and take the time (approximately 30 minutes) to complete it and submit your responses.
